History

In the remote Northeastern Bulgaria, 3 km away from the village of Irnik, situated in the region of Silistra, amidst high deciduous vegetation inside the forest, lies the Zli Dol Shooting Lodge. It is located within the territory of the Karakuz State Hunting Farm. Its geographic position and infrastructure make it appropriate for hunting, eco and photo tourism through all the seasons of the year.
The forest in this locality is populated by various plant and animal species. The most widespread of plant species are false acacia (black locust), hornbeam, and European cornel. In early spring the meadows are studded with blossoming snowdrops, crocuses, squill, etc.

For several years in a row the company Zli Dol Hunting Ltd. has bought game shooting and has taken care of animals in the farm.
Since 2016, a 15-year contract has been signed with the North Central state company for taking care of and using the game in two game-breeding areas:
Zli Dol GBA, with an area of 7500 hectares and Alekovo GBA, with an area of 5500 hectares.

The main game existing in the region is red dear, doe, boar, jackal and fox.
The farm has a fence of 420 hectares, inhabited by fallow deers, mouflons and boars. Organized battues during the season hunting give the hunters an unforgettable experience they talk about for quite some time during their gatherings after the long and emotional hunting.
